This is the hourglass. Hey, this is Bruce Hagenes and this is hourglass. I have a message for you today. Today, we are living in what I call a microwave generation. Everything is moving fast, everyone is in a hurry. Technology changes every single day. Jobs are shifting to higher levels, Machines are replacing human hands, and somehow, with all this advancement, we still feel like there's not enough time in the day. We rush, we push, we try to keep up, and when things don't happen the way we expect it, we start to feel like we're losing control. Our time management slips are peace slips. We start saying this is too much, this is out of hand, and then worry creeps in, and then we worry about the future. We worry about our bills, We worry about the family. We worry about things that we cannot fix nor change, or is out of our control. But God never asked us to carry all that. He gave us a simple, powerful instruction, and first Peter five, in the seventh verse, he says, cast all your cares upon him, for he cares for you. Not some of your cares, not the easy ones, not the ones you think he might mind. All of them, because the truth is this. When we try to hold onto what only God can handle, it breaks us down. It shows up in our bodies. We get headaches, chest pains, high blood pressure. It shows up in our minds, anxiety, fears, sleepless nights. It shows up in our spirit. We start feeling empty and tired and overwhelmed. But we will release it to God. And when we hand it over to Him and tell the Lord it is too heavy for us, but not for you, something shifts. God replaces our worried with peace, He replaces our fear with strength. He replaces our pressure with his presence. So today I encourage you, instead of trying to keep up with the speed of the world, slow down, slow loud enough to obey the word of God. Cast your cares on him. Because He truly cares for you.
