[00:00:09] Just Listen to Yourself presents I'm Just Saying with Kira Davis.
[00:00:14] It will be no surprise to anyone that the city of Oakland in Northern
[00:00:18] California has been plagued with the same rampant, unceasing crime wave
[00:00:22] that most major cities in America are experiencing right now.
[00:00:26] In and out, a California burger chain that has never closed a store
[00:00:30] in the history of their business closed their very first location
[00:00:34] in Oakland earlier this year because of safety concerns.
[00:00:38] Other chain department stores have left the area.
[00:00:40] CVS Pharmacy has been closing locations, and the stores that remain open
[00:00:45] have had to lock up nearly all their products.
[00:00:48] There are roving theft rings and gang violence and open air drug markets
[00:00:52] as homelessness has become untenable.
[00:00:55] Oakland is an apocalyptic nightmare in what is supposed to be
[00:00:59] the most civilized nation on Earth.
[00:01:01] City and state leaders seem uninterested in or unable to curb the chaos,
[00:01:07] although they're making an effort to pretend they are.
[00:01:10] As crime continues to expand, the latest victims are streetlights.
[00:01:15] That's right.
[00:01:16] People are stealing the electronic components
[00:01:19] directly out of Oakland traffic lights.
[00:01:22] This is clearly both a serious safety issue and an infrastructure issue.
[00:01:27] So what did Oakland leaders do about it?
[00:01:29] Did they form a police task force to catch traffic light thieves,
[00:01:34] pass harsher penalties, post more law enforcement?
[00:01:37] LOL. No, they took out the traffic lights.
[00:01:41] Oakland is replacing traffic lights in high theft areas with stop signs.
[00:01:47] This is one of the most populated cities in the country.
[00:01:51] Traffic lights are key components to keeping the daily lives
[00:01:54] of citizens moving smoothly.
[00:01:56] But that's the problem here.
[00:01:58] Ultimately, our public leaders, particularly in Oakland,
[00:02:01] have no regard for the daily lives of taxpayers and law abiding citizens.
[00:02:07] They despise the taxpayer, even though their very jobs depend on us.
[00:02:12] That's because they work for us and everyone hates the boss.
[00:02:16] They resent us for lots of reasons that depend on the person in question.
[00:02:20] The point is, as a corporate unit, taxpayers won't do what they want us to do.
[00:02:26] We're always looking out for ourselves, of course.
[00:02:29] But that's an independent mindset and government stooges don't like independence.
[00:02:34] So the strategy to break our independence is to let chaos flourish
[00:02:38] and punish victims of crime by making their lives miserable
[00:02:42] while criminals continue unfettered.
[00:02:44] Their answers are always to make things more difficult for us, not the criminals.
[00:02:50] At some point, it has to be on purpose.
[00:02:53] I think the left wing leaders across the country, especially in Oakland,
[00:02:57] are delighted to see independent people under duress.
[00:03:01] Independent people can't be ruled.
[00:03:03] They must be broken or eliminated.
[00:03:06] And since mass murder is currently illegal in the United States,
[00:03:09] their only option is to break us or get other people to do it for them.
[00:03:14] I'm Kira Davis, and I'm just saying.
