This is the FCB podcast Network. This is pillow Talk with Ellie Michelle on the FCB Podcast Network. Welcome back to an episode of pillow Talk with Ellie Michelle. I am your cost Alie Michelle. We are going to jump right into the mental health crisis that is erupting our country. So, as you all may have heard the news about the Nashville Coventry School shooting, I wanted to touch base on my my opinion on it now as a mother of a student who is in an elementary school in a relatively safe community, I still firmly believe and still firmly want a personnel that can tackle those situations and be fully armed. And that I'm speaking wholeheartedly like I am I am. I am a firm believer that we need armed personnels in our school systems. It's just becoming too too um and it's just becoming an everyday thing. Okay, and we have we've had guns for hundreds of years now. It's not a gun problem, it's a mental health problem. I have family members in my family who are who have very bad mental health issues. Are they going to shoot up a school? No, but they're not taking care of themselves. And the way that they need to mental health is such. It is an epidemic in the United States. It really, really, really is. And if you don't believe that, you're lying or you're just completely naive. Okay, Now, why is it that our government buildings, our airplanes, are everything is surrounded by armed guards. Airplanes have air marshals. Government buildings have those armed guards surrounding the building. The president has so many, so many people protecting him. Why are we not protecting our most innocent people in our community. It's disgusting and it's sickening. It's not a gun problem. Excuse me, it's not a gun problem. It's a mental health problem. And we want to ignore it. The government want to sit there and act like, oh, it doesn't exist. There's an elephant in the room. They're lying to push their own agenda. Now we're now, we're still so so so stuck on these weird ideologies that our kids need to be pumped with all of these medications. That's not it, And we're still when we're in we're in a society where we are pumping these weird ideologies and our children and we're creating confusion. Now, this school shooter was a woman who identified as a male. She was twenty eight years old, had no business going into a school period she had there was I heard reports that she was going to attempt another place, but there was security. Oh don't you think by now in this day and age. And it's sad that we have to do this, but it's important. Have signs blasted everywhere, Trained professionals, trained armed professionals on campus, on site, guarantee they'll think twice. If it wasn't a gun, if they didn't attack with a gun, they're gonna attack with their car. They will use a knife, they will use a bomb, they will do whatever it means necessary to cause harm because they're sick. But we just want to ignore that. We just want to say it's guns, it's guns. Oh well, isn't that crazy that what takes out these perpetrators with people, good people, sanely, healthy people with guns, they take out the perpetrator. But we don't want to talk about that, and we definitely don't want to talk about who did that. We definitely don't want to push that narrative that these this person was sick. We don't want to talk about that, and we don't want to talk about that they were trans. I'm not saying every trans person is bad because they're not okay, but but this is becoming a pattern. And it was attack, and it was an attack on a Christian based school. These kids don't deserve that, these families do not do not deserve that. And I'm so thankful for these police officers who had the courage and they were so there was a video that just came out. There were so in sync and they knew how to take down this person. So the car I believe was at like ten ten fourteen, they were taken down it I believe it was in like twelve minutes. Don't quote me on the time, but I know it is a very fast process. I watched another video. I don't know, it was just it was just no, yeah. I watched the video and it was Officer Rex. I can't remember his last last name, but on his body camp there was sirens going on and I just could not not cry, Like these kids were so brave and to hear those sirens, it's just a terrible thing. Now, when I went to school, we used to have bomb threats. Somebody would threaten the school with a bomb. I think that happened maybe two or three times. Like I said, it's not a gun problem, it's a mental health problem. We are becoming so comfortable with ignoring that and trying to please everybody that we're just ignoring that people are suffering. I don't want to hear. Oh, other countries don't have gun bounds, No, but they do have attacks and they're provided with healthcare. Now, I'm not for that universal healthcare stuff. I have my own theory on that, but we need to fix this. These kids are suffering, the mentally ill and the mental and the mentally sane. These kids don't deserve to be living in fear now. Like I said, as a mother, I want my school that my son's in to be fully equipped with personnels that will protect our kids who are armed. We have, you know, metal detectors and all that keeping these kids safe. It's these little babies, these this family, all these families that have been hurt by this catastrophic event deserve more than to push a political agenda. Period, absolutely, period. We are we are going down a very slippery slope with this politically driven ignoring the facts slope. We are falling very quickly. It is becoming muddier, muddier, muddier. We're slipping very very very fast. We want to sit there and be like we are. We are promoting mental illness in the name of inclusivity for kids. I don't care if you're an adult and you want to start pumping your body with all of these things and mutilating your body. I do not care what you do as an adult. But leave the kids the f alone. Leave them alone. They are so innocent. You look at a kid, and your whole everything, everything that mattered before that does not matter when you look in the eyes of an innocent child who just wants happiness, who just wants a freaking candy bar or an ice cream come from the ice cream chuck. But to sit there and allow these doctors and these parents to push this narrative that you don't matter, because you don't matter, period. That's what you're doing, because you're just you're failing. You're becoming lazy as parents. You're becoming lazy as primary physicians to allow your child to sit there and just hurt by thinking they are another gender and maybe they are, maybe maybe they think that, but for you to just jump to pumping them with hormones and cutting off their private parts is disgusting. It's disgusting, and shame on you now for the school systems that people want to yell at me. And you know, people have really dug into me about wanting armed personnels that would create so many jobs for these veterans that can't get a job. That nobody wants to hire a veteran because they're broken or whatever the freaking excuses. They served our country and you're not gonna hire them. There is no reason that we need veterans to be homeless in our country where they serve so we can live freely. Period. Things need to change, and I keep seeing all these celebrities jumping on the bandwagon. Ban the assault weapons. Ban the assault weapons. You can make a bomb out of like three things. I think you want to ban all those ingredients. Are you gonna ban every single what's your knife? Are you gonna ban every single car? No, Stop talking about that and start talking about what it really is, and that's mental health. Start using your platform for good. Stop following the stupid narrative that you have fallen victim of, because more people are going to continue to get hurt by pushing these nasty ideologies that ultimately end in a catastrophic event. You think you think we live in a world where where we where we can't, we should not be protecting ourselves. Have you read a history read book? Do you understand why we need to protect ourselves. These adults could have truly handled this if there was a even just one trained personnel who could take down that person one. It just takes one. Now, when my son comes home, I have to explain to him and really sit down and talk to him about mental health. And I always teach my kid to be kind and I always tell him do your best, be your best. If he came to me and he was like, Mom, I don't feel like I'm a boy. Well we're going to see a therapist. And that's just it, because I'm not lazy. I'm not gonna be like, Okay, let's go cut off your private part and you're going to be a girl now. No, And a lot of people might hate me for saying that. And I'm not attacking the LGBTQ plus whatever community. I'm not. I'm attacking the people that are being so naive to the situation to push their own bull crap agenda. Kids deserve better. Our most innocent deserve better. It's not a gun problem. A gun didn't walk up in that school, a purse, a sick individual did. Bottom Line, mental health is a problem. It's bigger than COVID, It's bigger than whatever else do you guys want to start talking about. But mental health is a huge epidemic, especially you know, one in four people suffer from mental illness in the United States. One and four. That's a lot. So for you to sit there and say it's a gun issue, that is absolutely ridiculous and a huge slap in the face to the words that suffer the highest I believe the highest suicide suicide rate is the LGBTQ community. Why is that? Is it they don't feel accepted or is it because there's some mental illness that has not been diagnosed yet. I am your ally. If you need to reach out to talk to me, I am more than willing to listen to you, more than willing to help you find the resources that you need. But stop pushing this ideology on our kids. They've they have gone through enough in the last three years. They don't need more of your weird, sick thought process. And all of these experimental us and mutilation from these physicians. They should be absolutely fired. They should be held accountable for not a lot not providing them with the proper mental health. And I understand when you're transitioning, you have to go through mental health. I understand that there needs to be a more extensive program for these children. And I'm not asking the government to do that. I'm telling you as a parent to do that. I don't want to rely on the government for anything, period. All I'm telling all I'm demanding from the government is to you know, then this could be local. Protect our children at all costs. We pay you to do your job. Parents, If you're gonna s there and ignore your child, shame the f on you. I'm livid. I couldn't imagine kiss kissing my son goodbye in the morning and not seeing him because parents neglected their children, Physicians neglected children, society neglected children, period. And with that, I really hope we start figuring this dying thing out before more death starts pouring in our classrooms. And with that, I'm going to close out.
