[00:00:00] This is the FCB Podcast Network. Hello everybody, welcome back to another episode of Just Listen to Yourself with Kira Davis. I am your host Kira Davis and this is the podcast where we take hot topics, hot button
[00:00:44] issues and we discuss the talking points on those topics and we draw those talking points all the way out to their logical conclusion. Well, it's a crazy week for a lot of reasons. Number one, this is a big week for me. I'm turning 50 this week. Yay me!
[00:01:04] So it's my 50th birthday. I was planning on being offline for most of the week, but I guess President Joe Biden and the rest of the Democrats had other plans for me. So here we are. So I don't know what I'm going to be doing.
[00:01:19] I'm traveling this week. I'm going to visit a friend in Iowa. So I don't know how engaged I'm going to be this week, but the crazy news just keeps dropping. It's absolutely insane. I haven't even been on this mic to talk to you about the assassination attempt.
[00:01:36] So we have some stuff to go through here. I'm not even quite sure what I'm going to name this episode because it doesn't feel like a critical thinking episode. It feels more like this is a recap episode or we're just going to drill down on what's
[00:01:55] going on here. So just for the future listeners who are hearing this down the road, maybe years or decades later, who knows what's going on right now is President Joe Biden has disappeared. He hasn't resigned his position.
[00:02:15] He has told the world in America that he has no intention to seek a second term as the Democratic nominee. And this comes just days after the failed assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump as he was on the campaign trail.
[00:02:35] Immediately afterwards, Biden supposedly got COVID, was whisked away to Delaware, and then we don't even get a live statement. We don't even get... This is a really big deal for a sitting president to say, I'm not going to run for a second term. That's a huge deal.
[00:02:52] He didn't even get to see that live. He didn't do a press conference. He didn't come to us live from the Oval Office. He released a statement. It's a very weird time. It was weird already. From COVID, from 2020 on, it's been weird. So that is weird in itself.
[00:03:11] But besides that, he's disappeared. He's gone. We don't know where this guy is. This is the leader of the free world. He is just... He is now a sitting duck. We are sitting ducks because now the president of the strongest nation on earth, still the
[00:03:29] world's most influential superpower, the president has released a written statement saying he doesn't plan to be the president after November. If I'm one of our enemies, if I'm a dictator, if I'm an authoritarian and I'm worrying about
[00:03:46] Donald Trump maybe getting into office and then clamping down on some of these shenanigans, I'm looking at what Biden just did and I'm going, it's now or never. We have never been, in my opinion, in a more dangerous time for our country.
[00:04:02] Now the Cold War was a pretty strange time and scary time, but that was really a global issue. But as far as how vulnerable we are at home right now, I'm not sure there's been a more dangerous time.
[00:04:19] And that is completely the fault of progressives and the Democrat complex, I'll say. I mean, not that the Republicans get off the hook. They haven't been defending our positions where they need to be. But I suppose that's neither here nor there right now because we are here.
[00:04:37] It's just a very weird time, a very strange time to be alive. If I'm looking at the United States and I'm a leader from a country that has set the United States as an enemy, yeah, I'm salivating right now.
[00:04:56] I'm thinking it's time to move forward with whatever plans we had because most likely the White House is going to change hands, going to change into Republican hands, most likely. But we'll talk about that too. That is not a guarantee.
[00:05:15] I know there are quite a few conservatives who are giddy at all of this chaos, but there is still an election to be won. There is still a race going on and now it's a race. I mean, now it's really, now it's getting good.
[00:05:31] You know what I mean? It wasn't that inspiring to think about running against Joe Biden, although that would have been, certainly would have been easier. That really would have been the best case scenario for the election.
[00:05:47] But we are living the worst case scenario right now as a country. We are not sure who's running the country right now. Now the mechanics can be run, of course, obviously. We go through this every time we catterwall about a government shutdown that never happens.
[00:06:08] Every time we shout about it, in my lifetime it's happened once, a federal government shutdown. That was during the Obama administration. And what do you remember about that time? What do you remember about what changed in your life? Nothing, because nothing changed.
[00:06:24] There's no such thing as a government shutdown. It's impossible. If there's a government shutdown, that's World War III, right? The United States does not exist anymore if we ever have a government shutdown. So it's all semantics.
[00:06:37] It's all games, but also nothing happened because the mechanics of our government are set up to work even if a few people at the top are out of commission. We do this even when we have joint sessions of Congress, right? There is always the designated survivor.
[00:06:56] We have redundancies where we send one member, usually a junior member of the cabinet, they go into hiding somewhere in a bunker in case something pops off. We still have a chain of command. So we have all the mechanics. I understand. The military is still working.
[00:07:15] People are still going to work on Capitol Hill. But we don't have a leader. And leadership is important. There's a reason why every government system on earth is structured to have a leader of some kind.
[00:07:29] It's very scary that the leader of the free world could not even make it to a video camera, could not even have someone raise a phone to his face for him to record a statement, hey America, I'm really proud of what I did.
[00:07:48] But thinking about what's going on, it's only responsible to step aside for the upcoming term and let someone else do this. Anything. He could have said, even if he's not well enough, surely he could have composed himself just to say I'm well and I'm resigning.
[00:08:07] Please read my full statement. I'm resigning from the ticket. Please resign. Please read my full statement. Anything. It's very suspicious to me. Now by the time this podcast gets to you, maybe we'll know more about where we are, where he is.
[00:08:25] But as I'm recording this today, people are actually wondering if he's dead. And that might sound funny and you might think I'm trying to sound funny and there's certainly lots of memes to be made about that. But I don't think that's funny.
[00:08:43] I think that's something to be concerned about. If the American people don't know where their president is, isn't that concerning? If the globe doesn't know where the leader of the free world is right now, that's a little bit more than a joke to me.
[00:09:05] That's something to be, again, plenty of funny things to be said about it. If you don't laugh, you'll cry. I get that. But it's not a joke. It's far more serious than I think that the media is taking it.
[00:09:18] The media today as I speak to you has been all over Kamala. Of course we're resetting. This is an image reset. I'm going to break all this down for you. I want to tell you how I think you should be feeling about this.
[00:09:30] I know a lot of y'all are nervous. Some of y'all are giddy. You're feeling confident. I believe overconfident. We're going to break all this down. But I just want to start by saying, yeah, this is a problem that we don't know where
[00:09:42] the president is, that he didn't even give this historic decision on air. He didn't even record audio. Again, maybe you're not in a physical position, a physical state to be seen. I'm concerned. I think there's actually more, a lot more to this story.
[00:10:04] And it's not just the Bidens are mad. I'm concerned that Joe Biden may actually be dead or almost dead. So what a strange time we live in. Gosh, what an odd time. Now all of this is converging on my 50th birthday.
[00:10:22] And I want to say this, that as you do when you're hitting milestones in your life, you really they are because really what is 50 is a number. It's one day more than I was yesterday. You know, technically speaking, it's just a number.
[00:10:39] But we humans have to assign significance to the passage of time because we're mortal beings and time is very valuable to us. So of course we assign significance. But 50, I'm having a bit of a reset moment. I'm having a bit of a moment where I'm really looking back.
[00:10:56] I'm looking back on where we've come, where we're going, taking it all in. And it is a very strange, I keep using that word. I think that'll be my word today. Strange.
[00:11:05] It's a very strange time to be alive, but also to be involved in politics and pop culture in any way. It's so odd. But as I'm hitting 50, I have to tell you, I'm feeling, I'm feeling at peace. I'm feeling at peace that I've never felt before.
[00:11:21] I know this is in large part due to the fact that I've been really making more of an effort to explore my faith and get closer to God and understand the word more. I've been doing a lot more of that.
[00:11:35] And I've been very casual, I think, about it in my adult life. We take God seriously in our family, but I'm not a very structured person and never have been. These days I'm finding more value in the structure and the ritual of it all, because I'm seeing
[00:11:52] now that it's all meaningful. It all has meaning. And I'm seeing now how all the things we've allowed to be dismissed as meaningless over the last few decades, turns out they really are meaningful. We've made a mistake dismissing those things.
[00:12:10] So I'm really trying hard not to let this piece tip me over into crazy town. Now I understand why old people are so grumpy, because you get to a point where you're like, you don't care. You really genuinely don't care.
[00:12:24] I don't care if I'm not up to date on how the kids are talking. I don't care about all of the insults that come personally to me from the other side. These are people that don't know me. I don't care.
[00:12:37] I don't care about the insults and the name calling and all of the cultural significance that we're assigning to celebrities and even some of our politicians. I don't take things as personally anymore, and that's clearly got to be a result of my age. So we'll see.
[00:12:58] I've been told that only gets worse the older you get. My friend Andrew Malcolm is 80 years old. We've had him on this show before. He'll be back again. He talks a lot about that. My father-in-law talks about the same.
[00:13:09] I'm looking forward to continuing to not care as we move forward, but it's not just that. I don't want you to think that I'm feeling dismissive. That's not it at all. I think underlying all of this is, of course, the hope of the gospel, which I share on
[00:13:28] this show all the time, take it to church all the time. But it's more than that. As crazy as things are and as weird and strange as everything is, I have this underlying hope still in the American people. 2020 was a nuclear bomb.
[00:13:51] It just rocked all our worlds in so many ways. The convergence of all these things, COVID and the election and election fraud and BLM and Antifa, the trucker convoys and forced vaccinations and cancel culture, all these things converged on 2020. It felt like we made this shift.
[00:14:14] And what I've seen shifting in other parts of the world I have not liked. And I haven't liked, how do I say this? Haven't liked the journey through this shift. Perhaps I'm being naive, but there is a part of me that sees the American people are still here.
[00:14:36] That underlying, yeah, that we've let a lot of crazies in and take over some of our bigger institutions and that's something to contend with. And of course, you know, I've talked about this and will continue to talk about it on the show.
[00:14:51] But there is something in me that says, I still think the American people have a lot of good sense in them. We still have the ability to correct our wrongs and to correct course. Yes, we will be working against some mighty forces. Election fraud is real.
[00:15:11] I'm going to break down some of the things I think we're going to be facing, but some of the highlights to look at as we move forward and some of the things that have happened since 2020. I don't want anyone to get too overconfident here.
[00:15:29] Oh, Trump can beat anyone. No, Trump can't beat anyone. We've already seen that. But I don't want you to be dismayed in that light this week. One of my just sayings, my shorter little bite sized podcast that I released is really
[00:15:45] about peace. It's really about finding peace and turning to the word to remind ourselves not to act in fear. But today, I also just feel very hopeful about the American voter. And I'm even looking around my state and I'm thinking 2020, I would have said.
[00:16:06] Oh, we're we're at this place we've never been before, and people have had enough of Democrats and think people are starting to see what's going on. But there was no red wave that was promised. So don't forget that either.
[00:16:17] As you think there's going to be a red wave in November. Don't forget that. We just weren't ready. We might not be ready in 2024. Things might not be bad enough, but I suspect they are. So, well, let me take a break.
[00:16:32] Let's go to a break here and when we come back, I'm going to break down to you. Exactly what we're facing here with a possible Kamala presidency, what Republicans need to be looking for and what you can feel hopeful about. So don't go anywhere. I'm Kira Davis.
[00:16:48] And this is Just Listen to Yourself. All right, we're back on Just Listen to Yourself. I'm your host, Kira Davis. We are just talking about all of the turmoil that's happening right now in electoral politics.
[00:17:06] Guys, as I record this, we are 56 days out from early the beginning of early voting. All right. This is a good place to start. So this is going to be a podcast. This is not for my liberal and progressive friends.
[00:17:20] If you're listening, you're going to get some inside baseball here so you can take it back to your people and strategize. This is for my Republican and conservative listeners who I know are feeling nervous and they've been waiting to hear from me on all of this.
[00:17:34] I'll start. I'll start with I haven't spoken about the assassination attempt. And maybe I'll do that separately. I think I'll do a live on that. I'll just hit Instagram live and talk. But obviously, I was as taken aback by that as you were.
[00:17:49] The longer this non-investigation goes on, the more certain I feel that this was a setup. Definitely think some parties, even within our own government, were involved. I feel that's obvious.
[00:18:07] I'd say let's wait for the details to come out, but I don't think we're ever going to get them. They literally washed the evidence off that roof the next day. So I'm not sure we're going to get it. But I was as shocked as anyone.
[00:18:20] And I think it really hit home to me how serious this is. And it really hit home to some Democrats. This is what I want you to remember. As we move now, we're uncertain. Now we don't. Are we going to get Kamala?
[00:18:32] I think, yes, it's got to be. I really can't imagine. I want you to think about where we are. We are 56 days out from the beginning of early voting. We are 114, 15 days out from election day itself.
[00:18:51] It's incredible to think that the Democrats are putting a new ticket up. That's not a good thing for them. Now, I know you're hearing the mainstream media go crazy today. As expected, I don't want you to get all your knickers in a knot over that.
[00:19:10] I said knickers, your panties in a wad. I don't want you to get all upset over that. To be expected, what do you think the mainstream media has proven over and over again, but specifically in the last year or so,
[00:19:26] that they are no longer on the side of the American people, that they no longer intend to report the truth? And I'm not even sure most of them can see the truth anymore. I'm not willing to call the mainstream media liars at this point.
[00:19:39] I think they are fully captured by the spirit of ignorance. I think they are. And I think most of them believe what they're saying. And the ones that have hesitation about it are so convinced of their ideological purity that they're able to justify their lies of omission.
[00:20:00] They don't think they're bad people. They think they're good people. And they're doing the ends justify the means, because when you've painted an entire group of people and voters as evil, then of course it's justifiable to do whatever you want to them.
[00:20:16] And you're still a good person because you're defeating evil, which is why there are so many people out there who are actually disappointed that President Trump is still alive. They wanted him to die because they feel that he is evil and thus
[00:20:32] any judgment they have of him is righteous. So it's not a surprise that the media is now immediately jumping into Kamala's corner. So today we're seeing lots of headlines about, oh, she's the first black this, that or the other.
[00:20:52] I'll take a pause here and say I've never thought of Kamala as black and I don't understand why black people do. We have never until she came popped up in in the VP race, really the race for president.
[00:21:06] But when she popped up, I, we have never referred to her as a black woman. She's Indian and Senegalese or she's Indian and African. She, she doesn't even call herself a black woman. You ever pay attention to Kamala? She doesn't even call herself a black woman.
[00:21:30] She'll say woman of color or she'll nod and laugh when you call her a black woman. Of course, she's going to ride that out. I, I just don't know how she's not a black woman. She never lived her life as a black woman.
[00:21:41] She's never considered herself a black woman and no one's ever considered her a black woman until she decided to run. It's so weird to me. I'm not comfortable with it. I didn't say much about it before because it didn't seem to matter,
[00:21:53] but it feels like it matters now. Like black folks, are you really going to waste the opportunity? The first black woman, anything you're going to waste it on Kamala? Come on. What are we doing? Okay. Whatever. So calm down about the media. Yes,
[00:22:13] they're going to run these honey it's honeymoon time. We shouldn't ever expect from this point forward, any kind of serious analysis from the mainstream media. Everything you hear from them as a lie from this point forward, everything you hear from them is projection or a lie or it's
[00:22:32] campaigning that you can feel good about. You can feel good about making that judgment. That's what it is. So there's no reason to be feeling nervous about the media, suddenly making a hard turn towards Kamala. Who's always going to happen and would happen with any candidate now
[00:22:50] that that's going to be for a minute or two here until we get to see Kamala back on a campaign trail, one point to remember and feel confident about. And one point to feel a little bit nervous about. Kamala's had some training. I can see it.
[00:23:12] So she's been gearing up for this. I don't know when we'll probably have to wait for her autobiography to figure out when she figured out that Biden wasn't going to make it, which I'm going to guess is probably well,
[00:23:29] when when's the last time we really saw her out there? I'm going to guess it's been about six months. I'm going to say, I'm going to say Kamala has known for about six months that Joe Biden isn't going to make it. If she hasn't known for sure,
[00:23:42] she's at least sensed it and she's been getting media training. Have you seen her out there recently? She's less cackley. She's less in her upper register. She's sticking to scripts rather than going off script. And that's where she sounds like the moron that she is.
[00:23:59] And she can't put two words together. She's, you can tell she's making a concerted effort to move out of that school mom tone that she has or that condescending tone. She's not there yet, but you can tell she's making efforts. So she's getting the media training.
[00:24:15] That at least to me says she's learned something right. And a Democrat who learns things is dangerous. It's been the saving grace of this country that Democrats rarely learn. So to see a Democrat learning, yeah, that's concerning. So she is getting that media training.
[00:24:33] You can expect a Kamala Harris in a debate with a Donald Trump to be a little bit more put together than she has been in the past for sure. You can also expect her to be yes,
[00:24:45] queening her way through it that much I know because that's all she has. She has no record to run on. She doesn't have any truth to tell. It's going to have to be a yes. So you can expect that you should be nervous about that because you are
[00:24:57] dealing with a pocket. Now, a lot of these voters have already peeled off and they're not coming back this election cycle, but you're dealing with a pocket of true believers who will believe anything they're told from the mainstream media.
[00:25:11] And they'll believe any lie they're told by a politician who reflects their ideology or their beliefs. And so you're dealing with a pocket of true believers who will believe anything they're told by a politician who reflects their ideology.
[00:25:26] So if you can be smooth enough, let's look at Gavin Newsom. He's really one of the dumbest politicians out there. And I mean that in the best possible way, in the kindest possible way. I don't think Gavin Newsom is very educated.
[00:25:42] I don't think he, he can, I'm pretty sure. I know he has dyslexia. That's not what makes him dumb. But it does tell me that he doesn't read a lot and that's clear when he's speaking. And he does something that a lot of liars do,
[00:26:00] which is he uses big $10 words, those big long words. And when you hear them strung together, usually that's a sign someone's lying. This is why Trump sounds so foreign to so many people because he doesn't talk
[00:26:15] like that. He talks just like a regular guy. Even he's not a regular guy. Even before he ran for president, he's not a regular guy, but he talks like one. I think it's because a lot of the time he's not lying to you when he's talking,
[00:26:27] when he says the weird things or the things that sound strange or uncomfortable to you, it's because he's not lying about it. He's telling you how you really feel. So he's not using all those $10 words, those big words strung together in paragraphs and sentences.
[00:26:42] But that's why Gavin Newsom does so well. He speaks to the ears that want to hear the lies. And there's many of those ears out there. Kamala's going to have that same training. She'll be, she'll be,
[00:26:55] I don't want to say formidable. It'll be something to pay attention to. I'll say that. But here's the other thing. Kamala's still Kamala. I know a lot of people are going to now, people are really going to be insistent that I say her name.
[00:27:09] Kamala is still going to be Kamala. She hasn't changed overnight. Neither has Donald Trump, by the way. I want, this was the comfort. I think I said this when I was talking about a speech. This was the comfort I had in watching that speech.
[00:27:23] I was so nervous for him because I felt this man survived the assassination attempt. He must be exhausted. He's got PTSD. Like God only knows the mental stress that he's going to have. And I'm not going to lie.
[00:27:35] I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not going to lie to you. God only knows the mental stress of facing that. Who's he going to be when he gets up there? And he started out very somber, calm, subdued. And I thought, yeah,
[00:27:45] this is a new Trump. But at the end, when he started rambling, he went so long, he went so long, but at the end he started kind of getting back in that Trump rhythm. He started throwing out, you know,
[00:27:57] calling people names and throwing out the insults and reminding people of Biden's record, even though he said he wouldn't. And I thought, yeah, he's back. Yeah. This is the, this is Trump. He's still in there. An assassination attempt doesn't change your personality. All right.
[00:28:13] Kamala Harris, she may have been knowing what's coming for the last six months, but she's got 56 days to run a campaign. I'm sorry. She's not going to change who she is in 56 short days. So there's that.
[00:28:29] If you're looking for a silver lining about all this media help she's going to get, she's still going to be Kamala. She's still going to be the person who collapsed the second she had more than 15 seconds to speak on the campaign trail in 2020.
[00:28:47] Still that Kamala. All right. That's one thing to remember. Second thing I want you to remember here, this is why I sort of opened up the, the show talking about the hope I have. I'm feeling more hopeful these days,
[00:29:07] although that just might be a consequence of 50. I don't know. Or maybe it's just God just giving me a sense of peace for all the turmoil that's coming up. I have no idea, but I feel this sense of hope.
[00:29:19] And again, right now is you're watching the news cycle. It's the honeymoon phase. The new cycle has been gripped by Donald Trump secret service and Kamala Harris and, and missing our missing president for the last week. Got it. It's not going to be that way forever.
[00:29:38] This new cycle is going to shift into down. It's going to shift down a gear at some point here, and we will get back to the stories that have been in the news for the last four years. We will get back to the migrant crossings,
[00:29:55] the migrant crimes that are happening, the smash and grab gang rings here in California, the epidemic of violent crime in every city across America, which are mostly blue at this point, the crisis at the border inflation, the crisis in Israel that's still going on. Everybody,
[00:30:17] the crisis in Israel, Iran is, is poking out, poking their nose out. They've only got a few more months, probably maybe until we get a different kind of leader in here. So they're kicking up a fuss. They've got the hit out on president Trump,
[00:30:34] which should astound everybody. The media really should be taught. I'm going to stop saying about the media should be doing the story about the assassination attempt is that Trump had minimal secret service protection and he's under threat from it,
[00:30:52] from a foreign government that is very serious about their terrorism. He wouldn't be the first leader they've murdered. That's a real story. Anyway, we've still got that going on. Parents are still wondering what the hell is going on in their schools.
[00:31:12] We've still got, we've got a lot of people, we've got things moving through this culture that you don't even see yet. You're not even seeing the, the things that are weaving their way through the courts. Once,
[00:31:26] once we get those decisions and those decisions are going to come down on, on the right side, I believe most of them are. You're going to see all of these topics pop back up, come back into the public.
[00:31:42] Have you noticed that Trump's felony conviction in New York has all but disappeared? I mean, obviously that was going to happen after the assassination attempt, but it hasn't come back and it's right there for them. It's right there for the Democrats to take it if they want it.
[00:32:05] But don't for one second believe that the Democrat machine does not internally poll every thing. So they've clearly pulled that and it's not going to work, but yeah, you'll notice that's dropped out from the cycle. We were at Defcon four when that dropped,
[00:32:24] the cycle's going to change and then Americans are going to be back to wondering how am I going to buy enough groceries for the labor day cookout? How am I going to deal with these migrants coming into my South side Chicago community, kicking my kids out of school.
[00:32:44] So the government could use the school to house people who are here illegally. All that stuff's still going on everybody just because the mainstream media isn't reporting it doesn't mean that Americans aren't feeling it still. I believe in the American people.
[00:32:59] It's not just that I believe in the ability of the people not to be distracted by shiny, by the shiny objects being offered to them right now. It's that I understand and you do too. The reality of what we're all living in and that hasn't changed because someone
[00:33:17] tried to kill Donald Trump and Joe Biden disappeared and we might have a new Democrat ticket. So that's one thing to think about also these truths, these, the things we know to be true have not changed. The basics of this situation,
[00:33:38] the details of the situation we're in have not changed. The only thing that's changed is what the media is focusing on. All right. That's another thing to think about to keep in mind. I also want you to keep in mind that there are some legal battles ahead.
[00:34:00] It's not just as easy as Joe Biden making a written statement that he's resigning and then endorsing Kamala. And now Kamala is on the ticket and the Democrats can breathe a sigh of relief. There are no Democrats breathing that relief. They're happy
[00:34:18] because Biden is a sure loss, but none of them, they're not ignorant. They know that the efforts to change a presidential ticket 56 days before ballots start being cast is a Herculean task. And if it were 2020, I might say, yeah, it can be done.
[00:34:41] But here's another thing to think about. And another reason why maybe, maybe the history books will look back and prompt us to be grateful for what happened in 2020, because 2020 was such a coup that Republicans who normally would ignore this stuff happily were forced
[00:35:07] to face the idea that if they don't address election fraud, they're not going to be elected again. They'll never be elected again. And then they'll never be in the positions of power to ignore everything that Republican voters ask them for.
[00:35:22] Like there's Republicans are still going to be Republicans. I get that. And I do get that a lot of them betray their voters for their power. I understand that, too, but they want to be in power.
[00:35:33] And so they're seeing that if they're not going to take the election fraud stuff more seriously, they are going to be pushed out and there won't be any power to be had in that light. A whole slate of election fraud lawsuits have been launched by the RNC.
[00:35:50] Now some of them were winning. A lot of them were winning. The mainstream media just isn't posting them. So they still want to get on. Oh, are you an election denier? Have you noticed that the election denier talk is beginning to simmer down as
[00:36:04] well? That's because all these lawsuits are starting. The dominoes are starting to fall. So those big ones, right? The mistake the RNC made was going too big too soon. But some of these smaller things in counties and municipalities where we're seeing, oh yeah, Arizona
[00:36:26] just won a big voter roll lawsuit being able to purge the voter rolls in California. We're purging the voter rolls, although that's something we have to do every year and is really hard to do here. Georgia, they've been purging the voter rolls. Pennsylvania has purged the voter rolls.
[00:36:44] That's huge, you guys. That's something that wasn't done before 2020. That's huge. Purging the voter rolls of dead or non-existent voters makes fraud a lot more difficult. Also, I pulled up the article here. Let me see if I just to refresh my memory. Also,
[00:37:05] voter ID laws have been enacted in, let's see, six. Let's see. How many states? One, two, 14 states. Voter ID is required in 36 states. Fourteen of those states have come to us since 2020. That's a big deal. Voter ID will change everything. Getting rid of early voting would change everything.
[00:37:38] We know this. If we went back to an election system where we all voted in person, on paper, in one day, I think Democrats might never win an election again. I really do, which is why they fight so hard again. So I want you to, anyway,
[00:37:57] trying to stay on task here. That's what's happening. So in 14 states since 2020, we've enacted voter ID laws. That's a big deal. That's going to change things. People are more keen to watch the votes. The RNC now has a strategy. After 2020, they went to the table
[00:38:19] and they said, we need to enact a strategy for being at these polls in every county, in every city on election day and during early voting in places that have it. The RNC has been taking it more seriously. The Supreme Court has a couple of cases that
[00:38:44] are going to affect federal voting, voting in federal elections, which I hope in a positive way for voters, for truth, for free and fair elections. So I want you to think about that.
[00:38:59] Now, I know there's a lot I can hear. I feel like I can hear you already. I feel like, oh, they didn't learn. Republicans never learn anything, Kira. They didn't learn anything in 2020. They're not going to learn anything now.
[00:39:10] All right. No, that's not true. They have learned something. Maybe not enough. I'll concede that. Wouldn't surprise me. But I've seen more action on voter fraud and election integrity in the last four years from the Republicans than I have in the last
[00:39:28] 15 years that I've been a Republican. I think that's not for nothing. That's something to be paying attention to. On the flip side of that, Democrats are going to be more motivated to cheat than ever, because there's a lot at stake here,
[00:39:52] including a lot of people who have been cheating, getting called out when the administrations change around them. So they've got a reason to go balls to the wall, for lack of a better term, and just go out with a bang.
[00:40:11] You know what I mean? You know what I'm saying? They've got a reason. I probably said this on the show before. One of my favorite shows to watch is Intervention on A&E. And I think everyone loves a good redemption story and they're not all redemption stories,
[00:40:28] but you watch for the hope that you're going to find one. But every addiction counselor will tell you this. And anyone who has been addicted to drugs or who has had someone they love struggle with addiction, you'll know this to be true.
[00:40:42] There's a reason why we call alcohol spirits. I mean, I know there's a linguistic reason, but I do believe that there is a cultural reason why we call alcohol spirits. When you are trying to kick addiction, it is like you're trying to exercise a demon.
[00:41:00] And instead of just throwing up his hands and going, all right, I'm going to go ahead to the next person. I don't want this kind of trouble. That demon digs in. And all the addiction counselors, whether they're spiritual people or not, will describe it the same way.
[00:41:13] They all do. They say that your friend or demon is kicking up right now and they're going to be angrier than ever and more defensive than ever and more frightened than ever. So when you see these people come into their intervention,
[00:41:29] even though they're with people they love and all of the people who have helped them and are still helping them to that day, they'll become irate. They'll become angry. They'll spit, they'll hit, they'll kick, they'll run away.
[00:41:41] They'll say the most vile things to the people that love them, but that's not them. That's their demon talking. It's a demon recognizes I'm about to get kicked out and I don't want that. That's what we're seeing happening. This is just sort of an analogy.
[00:41:59] That's what we're seeing happening on the Democrat side. They're realizing that a lot of, of the people that they've worked so hard to put in place are about to get kicked out in a lot of their strategies and scandals are about to be discovered.
[00:42:18] And there the demons are kicking up a fuss. They don't want to leave. It's a dangerous time. I use this analogy too. The most dangerous time for a woman in an abusive relationship are the days and hours leading up to when she finally leaves.
[00:42:35] That's the most dangerous time. That is when most women experience violence or a fatal attack from their spouse. We are in very dangerous times because we are in the process of leaving our abusers. These are all reasons to stay vigilant and not get too cocky about things just
[00:42:59] because Kamala looks like a loser and she is a loser in the statistical respect. And I'm sorry, winning three terms as a Senator, winning, I'm using air quotes as a Senator in California does not count as winning.
[00:43:18] It's barely an election here. You're disappointed. That's how we do things. Um, we are a banana Republic and this is what they're trying to import to you. America. This is what I'm telling you. Don't tell me,
[00:43:32] don't write me and tell me to get out of California. I don't want to hear it. Sick of it. I'm not leaving California. This is where I live. All right. When I'm, when I'm, when I get ready to leave, I'll let y'all know.
[00:43:45] This is where I live. This is where my family lives. This is where God has me. It's I'm not staying here because I was born and raised here and I just love it so much. That's not it. I have friend, my friend, Jennifer van Laar. Yeah.
[00:43:58] This is her home. She's like, I'm fighting to the death. I don't have those same loyalties. I'm just saying, I'm not called to leave yet. This is where I live. When it's time, I'll let you know. You don't let me know. You should want me here.
[00:44:13] It's people like me and my friend Jennifer and other people working on my side of the fence here that are keeping, we're the last line of defense for you all between a banana Republic, California banana Republic and the white house pretty much there.
[00:44:33] So people like me, we gotta be here. They're trying to import this banana Republic attitude. The way we do elections here, the way we do media here, the way we do homeless care here, the way we do crime control here, the way we do gun control here.
[00:44:52] They're trying to import all that to Washington DC. So yeah, this really matters. It really matters what's going on here. And it matters that people like me live here. Don't tell me to leave. It's not time, but I'll let you know when it is time.
[00:45:08] Cause I'll be really excited on that day. I'm sure. I want to wrap it up. I want to say this. Um, there's a lot of things to feel anxious about, but there's a lot of, of, of things to feel positive about,
[00:45:30] namely the amount of disarray that Democrats are in right now. And I'm not saying this till you'll get cocky. I'm saying this so that you won't get depressed because a lot of you are depressed out there. You feel like, okay, they got by not the ticket.
[00:45:44] And now that means that the Democrat complex is coming together and they're going to play this big joke on us again, like they did in 2020. I get it. I know, but I'm trying to give you reason not to fall into that despair.
[00:45:55] I don't want to make you overconfident because Trump still has a campaign, but now it's a race and that's something, but I don't want you to be scared because scared people make bad decisions.
[00:46:13] I don't want you to be, there's a lot. It just look at what's going on. Do you know what's going to happen now? But again, by the time this podcast gets to you, we may know a little more about what's happening on this ticket and where Joe
[00:46:26] Biden is. I hope he's not dead. We'll know a little more. The fact that you don't know and I don't know, and nobody knows it's not because the Democrat party is so good at keeping their strategy under their hats, that they're just,
[00:46:49] they're running around, you know, uh, playing 4D chess. We don't know because they don't know. We don't know because they don't know. So I think if you're a Republican, the amount of confusion that's happening in the Democrat party should make you
[00:47:08] feel a little good, at least a little positive. Um, so that, that's, that's something to think about. And the other thing I think here's my personal opinion, which is worth about as much as it costs you to subscribe to this
[00:47:26] podcast, which is nothing. So hit that subscribe button. My personal opinion is that the Democrats were really thinking they were going to pressure Joe to get out. They were going to bring in someone else. I don't know who not Camilla, someone else. Cause they hate her.
[00:47:43] AOC basically said it yesterday. They hate her for lots of reasons. Many we know, and some we don't. I don't think it was going to be Camilla. I think it was going to be whoever the, the Obamas were going to pick,
[00:47:57] the Obamas and Clintons, the parting shot of the Biden family. That that parting middle finger was the endorsement of Camilla. Now you kind of have to do it, don't you? And they know she's going to lose.
[00:48:15] I think they know. I think they're pretty certain she's going to lose. They're pretty certain it'd be, it's good. It was going to be a Herculean task for anybody, just because of the timing. It can be done. It can be done.
[00:48:25] You have the media complex on your side, so you have a lot going for you. It can be done, but it would be Herculean. But I think with Camilla, a lot of people felt it can't be done with her, including the Bidens.
[00:48:38] And so that was their parting FU, that middle finger running out the door here, you take her. And honestly, I think a lot of Democrats, I think there's still this notion that they're going to fight. I think that's harder.
[00:48:50] That's a bigger notion in the media than probably in the Democrat party. I think a lot of Democrats have resigned themselves to letting this election go fighting, but letting it go and hitting the reset button, which is why you're still seeing Gavin Newsom hovering around.
[00:49:05] He's coming to you in 28. California is going to be huge. We've got another gubernatorial campaign coming up. So we'll be electing a new governor. And we might also be in a position where that could happen again,
[00:49:20] uphill battle. Yes. But the, the way things are here in the state, we might actually be in a position where Californians will be ready to elect a Republican candidate. If we get the right one,
[00:49:33] I've looked at a couple of names that are potentially going to be in the race. And there's one in particular that I'm really excited about, but I've never seen before. Really excited about that lips button on that one so far. Um, there are some things you can do.
[00:49:50] I don't want you to sit around feeling helpless and hopeless and weird and just glue God, God, no, do not sit glued to your cable news for the next three months or please don't do that. You're going to drive yourself crazy.
[00:50:06] You're going to give yourself all kinds of stress, health conditions, please subscribe to this. You can get all my updates and my encouragements that the just saying this week, I hope will encourage you. So we go straight to the word.
[00:50:22] We see what God has to say about everything. Also you don't need to sit around helpless or stuff you can do. I wrote a whole book about it. Go get my book, drawing lines. Why conservatives must begin to battle fiercely in the arena of ideas.
[00:50:35] And I give you lots of little suggestions there, but we only have 56 days till the polls open now. So here's a couple of things you can do. I wrote some things down. You can do right where you are right now.
[00:50:46] And if there ever was a time for you to come up off of your time and make yourself inconvenienced, now's the time. Cause we don't have much of this. We have three months. So you can, you give up three months for the cause.
[00:50:58] Can you do it? People? I think you can become a poll watcher, volunteer or for hire. So I actually applied. I hope I, maybe I shouldn't say this out loud. Basically tank my application. That's probably already been tanked.
[00:51:13] I applied to be a part-time poll worker. So that's a paid position. The state of California, it, it, it's a paid position. I think you commit to 60 days and you can, there's different jobs to do.
[00:51:27] You can count the votes or you can be at the polls or you can man the boxes, all kinds of stuff to do. So I submitted an application to be one of the people that did that. Here's another thing that should encourage you about the preparations that the
[00:51:41] Republican party is making my state and the RNC in general is making concerted efforts to place conservatives and Republicans at the polls. So normally we don't do that work because we have real jobs. We like to go to work and, and come home to our families.
[00:51:56] We don't do that work. We leave that to the Democrats and that's how you get places like Atlanta where they can go off. Oh, we had a pipe leak on election night. This is so crazy. We're not counting the votes.
[00:52:09] They can do that because it's all the same type of people manning the polls. So it's a big deal if we get out there. So become one of those people. It's a two month commitment at most. Volunteering to watch, observe the counting. That's a few days.
[00:52:29] If you're in California, it's a few weeks, sorry, but volunteering to do that, that's something you can do. Do you know that? I know a lot of you do, but some of you don't. Yeah. You can go down to your registrar of voters.
[00:52:43] It might be called different in different States. You can go down and sign up to be an observer and you can observe the vote count and you have the right to object if you see something that doesn't look right. Be one of those people. All right.
[00:52:59] Report misinformation and disinformation. This is harder to do on platforms like Snapchat and Facebook. Easy to do on platforms like X and to a certain extent, YouTube. So, um, this is one of those using the less tactics against them. Use those community notes.
[00:53:18] You know the Democrat candidates are going to be lying about a lot, a lot, but more so the media. So that's something you can do right from the comfort of the seat, your butt sitting in, grab your phone. If you don't know how community notes work on X,
[00:53:34] go on there and find out. But it's really simple process. You just tag community notes in the post and then make your correction. That matters. It's going to matter to the record of history. I don't think we're going to understand fully the fallout of what Elon has done
[00:53:50] for decades to come, but it's going to matter in the historical record that we have something called community notes on X. So get in there and start, that's a way you can combat information and misinformation and disinformation.
[00:54:07] You can share on Facebook if you want for your ignorant family and friends, but I'm going to go ahead and say that the people who have already decided that there's no way they're going to vote for Republican, leave them alone and don't be harassing them with memes.
[00:54:19] I've decided to do that too. I got a little salty on assassination day and posted a couple of things, but I pulled it back from the edge. I fully intend just to leave my Facebook alone. Those people are captured. You understand their spirits, their minds are captured.
[00:54:34] I don't think there is hope for them for seeing the truth of this matter. So don't waste your energy on them. Go where your efforts will make an impact. Attend your County or municipal meetings,
[00:54:51] especially if you're in a blue state or a blue area and post a report of what you see there. So I just told you about a lot of lawfare that's going on. Republicans are making efforts to get into their, the, the voting mechanics in each area.
[00:55:11] And so your municipalities in your state and state and local governments are going to have to be talking about this stuff and thinking about it. They're probably going to be talking about things like where the ballot boxes go
[00:55:23] or somebody might bring up some challenges. If you're not at the meeting, they're not going to let you know those things are going on. They're not going to make a public announcement about it. They're not going to let you know the mistakes they're making or the little
[00:55:35] shenanigans, cause that's, what's going to happen. They're going to start playing little shenanigans, making it a little more difficult for your local elections, to be honest. So for the next three months, could you maybe make the commitment to show up at these meetings and just
[00:55:50] observe? And if something weird happens, put a post up on X, put a post up on Facebook, put a post, you know, make a five second video and put it on Instagram. Do your part. And it's easy and it's free ballot harvesting.
[00:56:08] If you're an area where there is ballot harvesting that, that that's legal, it's a horrible thing. It's stupid. It should not happen, but it's legal here in California. Finally we are beginning to understand that we need to be aggressive about
[00:56:22] ballot harvesting. Let me explain to you what ballot harvesting means. It just means that you're the person to take in the ballot of your neighbor. So I can go to my, and I have, I can go to my neighbors and say, uh,
[00:56:34] I'm heading down to the poll site. I'm going to turn in my ballot or scan my, we turn them in here. We don't even, I anyways, and a turn in my ballot. You want me to take yours? And there is a problem. You have to sign it.
[00:56:51] Now you have to sign the back of it. You have to swear you're basically signing an affidavit that you have not opened this ballot, that you have not stuffed this, that you took it from this person. Um, so there's a bit of a process there, but, um,
[00:57:08] what it does. So dishonest ballot harvesters, right. Can do all that work on site. I can go to the little old lady's house and say, Hey, let me fill out this ballot for you. Let me sign it for you.
[00:57:21] And they can pick who, you know, or they can switch it out. They can take it from her and then switch it out for a different ballot. Um, they can do that, right? That liars will lie. Bad people will do bad things.
[00:57:32] So your act of participating in the ballot harvesting and harvesting those ballot yourself, yourselves, it's not about approving of the process. It's about you being the one to get that ballot to the polls. Cause you know, you're going to take it right there.
[00:57:47] You're not going to play any games with it. You're not going to be weird with it and you're an honest person. So you're not even going to try to influence that person's vote. Just you making sure personally that that vote is going exactly where it's supposed to go.
[00:58:02] So that's why ballot harvesting is important even if we don't like the process. And I don't. And finally, I just wanted to read to you out of Matthew six. Let me pull up my, my Bible app here. Matthew chapter six, starting at verse 25, which is my favorite verse.
[00:58:25] Therefore I tell you do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or about your body. What you will wear is not life more than food and the body more than clothes. Look at the birds of the air.
[00:58:38] Do they not sow or reap or stow away in barns and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they can? Any of you by worrying, add a single hour to your life and why do you worry about clothes?
[00:58:56] See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. And I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field,
[00:59:13] which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire. Will he not much more clothed you? You of little faith. So do not worry saying, Oh, what will we eat? What will we drink? What shall we wear?
[00:59:29] But the pagans run after all of these things and your heavenly father knows that you need them, but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. And all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow or tomorrow will worry about itself.
[00:59:54] Each day has enough trouble of its own. Today is a day with a lot of trouble, but we don't have to let our spirits be troubled. We have jobs to do and tasks to accomplish and things to look forward to.
[01:00:17] And we still live in the greatest nation on earth. And as crazy as this process is, it's the best one anyone has anywhere. So be encouraged, get out there and do your part. You've got 60 to 90 days.
[01:00:33] I feel like it's not a lot to ask all of you to dig deep and do something that's going to help. And let's, let's have free and fair elections. I believe that if the elections are free and fair and allowed to proceed
[01:00:53] according to the will of the American people, that the outcome will be what we want. I believe that. So that's what you should be praying for too. Free and fair elections. All right, everybody. Well, as usual, you can write to me, JLTY at Protonmail.com.
[01:01:08] JLTY at Protonmail.com. A couple of people were asking me, how can I send you a birthday gift? I feel really strange about taking people's money for gifts. I feel like, you know, what you give me is your subscriptions or,
[01:01:23] but if you want to, you can go ahead over to my profile on X and all of my, there's a link tree in there. And then all of my accounts are in there. You can send a tip, hit the tip jar, do it that way.
[01:01:38] Or if you're not subscribed, subscribe here or leave me a review. That'd be big. Leave me a review on iTunes, five stars and a little written review. That's helpful. Write to me, JLTY at Protonmail.com. Tell me how you're feeling about moving forward.
[01:01:55] Let me know what you're nervous about. Let me know what concerns you and let me know what you would like me to speak to as we move forward. We're in this together. So you're not alone and we'll, we'll make it to November.
[01:02:09] What happens after that? Anybody's guess, but that's what makes it so exciting. All right, it's time to go. But until we meet again, I'm going to be sending you a gift. All right, it's time to go. But until we meet again,
[01:02:21] every once in a while, just stop and listen to yourself. This has been a presentation of the FCB Podcast Network, where real talk lives. Visit us online at FCBpodcasts.com
