Now. This is the FCB podcast Network. This is Fascist Pass with Victoria Henley. Hi everyone, and welcome into another episode of Backstage Pass. It's your host Victoria Henley here from Los Angeles. We are talking with Gianna Gianni Marqua from the Los Angeles Fashion Show. Gianni, how are we today? I'm good, nice sunny day in LA. How are you? Yes, awesome, I am doing great. We are so excited for your upcoming show. I just want to dive right in. You know, there's so many shows in Los Angeles as a part of Fashion Week, but the Los Angeles Fashion Show, this is a big deal. This is bringing a lot of designers from all around the globe to La. Tell us a little bit about this. How did you get involved? Well, we're actually a film production studio. SAS has been around since one We've worked on a lot of big projects like you know, Avatar and Hunger Games and Iron Man. We've had our foot in a lot of different films and so this company production has been a big part of it. Right and when we have the opportunity to start doing these fashion shows, it was really easy for us. We were able to dive in pretty deep. And because of our company's history, we were able to kind of coordinate something that's bigger than ourselves. Yeah, our fashion show has grown, you know, tenfold to what we expected it to even be. And we're so happy to be able to express modern fashion in a world that doesn't necessarily have that niche yet. You know, New York and Milan and all these other places really have a fashion show, whereas LA is kind of finding its roots still, and I think that we are one of the shows. There's a few in LA, but we're one of the shows that are really like bringing it home for that Absolutely, that's that's really interesting. So, so your roots are in film production. As far as your involvement are you is your background? Are you a fashion guy personally? What is your role in all of this putting it together and making it happen. So I handle operations of SAS and our Los Angeles division, our companies in three different states California, says see in Kentucky, and so I kind of run our operations for the Los Angeles division. You know, we have thirty buildings all over LA and we have a film production studio that handles everything you know, on this side of the of the state. So that is a pretty big part of like our day to day operations and where I kind of sit in the company. Absolutely. Now, all right, the show. The show is coming up this weekend. Tell us a little bit more about if we get tickets to every day of the show, if we just want to do the full experience, what are our options to see as much as possible and what can we expect to see hit the runway. Well, we have a lot of amazing designers. Friday is our more urban show. It gives you more of streetwear, the la vibes Saturdays and make sure of Gala and the urban We kind of wanted to get fun, you know, beachy vibes on Saturday, and then Sundays are our best show in my opinion. We have beautiful designers like Sema Collection on we have you know, a bunch of other people. A few of my personal favorites are going to be Sunday, So I think Sunday is the best ticket. But we are super happy to like spread the experience, So we made a three day pass that you can get on event right for the show Friday, Saturday, Sunday. There are individual tickets depending on what your vibe is, but if you truly want to experience back week, I think the three day pass is the best, and there's discount set that come with getting a three day pass as well VIP or regular. Yeah, this is a very exclusive and you know, premiere opportunity to see progressive fashions, international global fashions from around the world. So we're going to be posting up all of these links if you want to get your three day pass, if you want to come individually, we will let you know how to make that happen. There's a lot of designers that we personally work with and would love to maybe send your way. So if we're a designer, maybe a retailer that wants to get involved in the show, what is that process like. Well, on our the La Fashion Show website there's actually sections on there where designers or models or sponsors or anybody. It's very laid out for that. So anybody who has idiots and getting involved, we'd love to hear from you. Again, too big, too small, none of that really matters to us. It's not really you know, something that we are trying to monetize. Truly, we just want to bring this to the forefront of fashion and make LA and the LA Fashion Show, the biggest show that's possible. That's great. I love that. Okay, great, So we'll be letting everybody know how to get involved next season. Now. I know that there's some really cool things on the horizon coming up, I believe in September and of course moving forward. So what is I guess the short term plan here, what can we expect to happen with you all for the remainder of this year, and what's maybe the five year plan if any? Wow, at the end of this year we have we're starting the transition for us with this fashion show, and that transition is we want to make this an experience. There's a high rise that's in our side of town in Culover City that we're looking to expand into. And with that, you know, there's twenty floors of different experiences that we want to you know, dive into. And I know it sounds like a very big project, but every floor is supposed to be something different. We want like carnivals on one floor, we want something you know, like raver Paradise in the other, but then high fashion on this floor, and then you have the urban street where like every floor is so supposed to be its own like experience. A Coachella for Fashion is really the end goal for us. We really want to make this something otherworldly. Everybody does fashion shows and during fashion week it's really fashion month. We want to, you know, create the next big thing. And with that, it's a big investment for us. So I don't know if it's it's something that me and my team are so happy to have the grassroots and production because this next show is going to be something I don't think anybody's ever seen before. That's incredible, that's great, So we're really excited that we're gonna definitely stay in touch. Now this Coachella for Fashion, is this something this is happening in September or this is for like future maybe more long term goal. We believe it's going to be happening in September. We definitely have the building in the process and we're already planning for that show. You know, if it's if it doesn't happen, then it would happen in March of the following year. But I mean, truly it's already in the works. I mean, I think that it can happen in September. Yes, well, I for one am very excited. I know a lot of people are blown away by that too. It's a big undertaking. But we're going to be letting everybody know how to get involved. Whether you're a creative press media, you want to come just check out what this is all about. So Gianni tell us if we want to get tickets, if we want to follow you on social media and just stay connected, how do we do that? My personal as a mark blowd TV on Instagram, our fashion shows to the La Fashion Show. We have a website, the La Fashion Show, where you can get all the information you need for this. And you know, our parent company, the one that started this whole thing for us, says movie Studios a forefront for production. Since one essaysmovie studios dot com is a good place for that as well. And again like no big, no too big, no too small. We want to hear everybody and if there's a way that we can get somebody involved. I you know, the Coachella fashion is coming and I think anybody can be a piece of it. I love that. I love that it's big, it's inclusive, and it's different. So we're going to be looking out. It sounds like amazing things will continue to happen for you on the horizon. And thank you so much for spending time with us today. Yeah, thank you. And something I just wanted to say before we wrap up is, you know, we're so happy for all these fashion shows that are happening right now. I see, in fact, a lot of people, you know, feel very competitive about this. But something that my company really wants to bring out and show is just that this isn't a competition, right. Fashion is something that's beautiful and it's suposed to be expressive, and if all of these companies, if we can come together, we can make something that the world is proud of. You know. It's it's LA against the world. It's not us all competing in LA. So let's all do this big for fashion and make something special. Well I'm glad that you you know, that's that's a really great note to leave on because believe me, I've worked in this and in reality TV and it's not always pretty and it's not a cohesive, networking kind of thing. So that's that's great that you stand for that. Yeah, we should all be in this together as a team. I wholeheartedly agree I do. And so yeah, if you want to come again. We're gonna you know, we highly encourage you to be involved. If you can't coming in for the show coming up this weekend in March, come in September. You know, se you what they're all about. Get on board. Even if you're you know, maybe just doing small shows, you're just getting into this, or you're a really big established deal. You don't want to miss out on the LA Fashion Show. Gianni. I really love what you do and so happy to be involved. Thank you again. Yeah, thank you so much, Victoria. It has been a pleasure to talk to you about this and say, anybody listening, thanks so much for your time just listening and getting to know us as a team. We're here to make fashion something that everybody can be in. I love it. Inclusivity. It's just awesome right here in Los Angeles coming up the LA Fashion Show. You don't want to miss it. We're going to be posting all of these links so you can follow along with sas Movie Studio, the fashion show, and more. Thank you all again for listening to Backstage Pass. We'll see you next time.
